On or about November 10, 2014, while employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a rehabilitation center in Wheeler, the LVN misappropriated Hydrocodone belonging to a patient in that once the missing medication was noted she was confronted and admitted to the misappropriation.

Additionally, the LVN threw away the medication narcotic sign out sheet. Her conduct was likely to defraud the facility and patient of the cost of the medications.

The Texas Board of Nursing has full jurisdiction over all cases regarding errors committed by an RN or LVN. Thus, she was called by the Board to defend against the case.

However, the LVN wasn’t able to appear at the hearing.

The following incident and defense against the case caused the Texas Board of Nursing to place the LVN and her license into disciplinary proceedings. She would have sought assistance from a good nurse attorney to provide clarifications towards the case.
