During the time period that she was supposed to be enrolled in TPAPN, she experienced a family crisis requiring her to file a protective order against her husband for child endangerment and at the same time file for divorce seeking sole custody of their children.
Dealing with the situation has been an all-consuming process. All of her other responsibilities fell behind because there could be no way to truly move forward until that situation was resolved. She is currently in charge of the Intermediate Care Ward (ICW) at her unit. She would like to enroll in TPAPN and continue serving as a nurse. The LVN further states she understands the severity of this issue, and she is thankful for the patience that has already been extended to her until now.
The following incident and defense against the case caused the Texas Board of Nursing to place the LVN and her license into disciplinary proceedings. She would have sought assistance from a good nurse attorney to provide clarifications towards the case.
