When an LVN or an RN is accused of Negligence, the only defense she needs is the right to a San Antonio nurse attorney. This is the reason why whenever the Texas Board of Nursing summoned an LVN or RN, hiring a San Antonio nurse attorney is extremely crucial.

This is what an RN from San Antonio should have done when she faced a complaint from one of her patients.

At the time of the incident, the RN was employed as a Registered Nurse in a medical facility in Sugar Land and had been in that position for three months.

On or about March 5, 2019, and March 6, 2019, the RN allegedly failed to label, store and process a urine specimen for a patient within clinical standards of practice. The RN submitted a urine sample to the lab that had been sitting out at room temperature since the previous day. Subsequently, the patient needed to return to provide a new urine sample.
This conduct by the RN exposed the patient to a risk of harm from inaccurate clinical diagnoses made using an inappropriate specimen.

In response to the incident, the RN states that a urine sample was accidentally left out overnight and they very next morning, she brought it to the lab. The RN further states that later the same day, the patient returned and gave a new fresh specimen. The RN states that she made a mistake because she was only thinking of how to achieve the end goal as quickly as possible.
However, without an experienced nurse attorney to handle her case, the RN was disciplined by the Texas Board of Nursing.
