The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) has the jurisdiction to hear and decide cases involving the practice of professional nursing in Texas. Any RN or LVN found guilty for violating the state laws and regulations as well as charged with a case may be subjected to a disciplinary case if not properly defended by a San Antonio RN attorney. This is what an RN from San Antonio should have done when she was accused by a client.

At the time of the initial incident, the RN was employed as a Registered Nurse in a children’s hospital in San Antonio RN attorney and had been in that position for three (3) years and one (1) month.

On or about August 23, 2018, the RN allegedly posted protected health information regarding a patient to a social media webpage.

The RN’s conduct was in violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Because of this, the Texas Board of Nursing summoned the RN to hear her side of the story. In response to the incident, the RN admits to writing a post on a “secret” social media webpage, but states she did not post any identifying patient information or photos.

The RN further states that she removed her post the following day, at the request of her supervisor.

However, without valid evidence and an experienced San Antonio RN attorney to defend her, the RN lost Because the RN failed to properly present and defend her case against the court. She was disciplined for violating the Texas Board of Nursing regulation.
