Accusations at work could be a serious case, which is why a nurse attorney is needed if you get accused. However, some who thought they were guilty of the charges failed to hire a nurse attorney just because they thought it was the doom for their RN or LVN license already. But that is not entirely the case as there is still hope.

At the time of the initial incident, an LVN was employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at a hospital in Pflugerville, Texas, and had been in that position for seven (7) months.

On or about September 7, 2018, through September 14, 2018, while employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, the LVN failed to document assessments and education regarding the side effects of newly prescribed medications for the four (4) patients. The LVN’s conduct resulted in incomplete medical records and was likely to injure the patients in that subsequent caregivers did not have complete information on which to base their decisions for further care.

On or about September 7, 2018, through November 30, 2018, while employed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, the LVN failed to document complete vital signs in that she failed to document the temperature of the patients. In addition, on or about September 7, 2018, the LVN failed to document any vital signs of the patient. The LVN’s conduct resulted in incomplete medical records and was likély to injure the patients in that subsequent caregivers did not have complete information on which to base their decisions for further care.

In response to the incidents, the LVN attributes missing documentation to system failures at the facility’s rural clinic. The LVN states that she often had to take notes by hand when the computer system was down and she was unable to enter patient data into the computer. And also states that she would then go back and enter that data later when the computer system was working.

Despite her explanation, the Texas Board of Nursing placed her under disciplinary action. Hiring the right nurse attorney for this case would be of great help, knowing that she admits to the accusations.

Losing your license may greatly affect your future career, but only if you failed to hire a nurse attorney for your case. There are some RNs and LVNs who missed their chances to get their license saved from revocation just because they weren’t able to hire any nurse attorney to properly defend them.
