The LVN further states that these actions were the result of numerous attempts to visit with the patient during the certification period in which the patient was very difficult to get in touch with. The LVN further explains that she was very frustrated and as a result she went ahead and submitted the visit.
The LVN states that she herself noticed the patient’s history and the blood pressure readings throughout the patient’s stay. She states that she provided the patient with verbal and written discharge instructions, including verbally repeating the signs and symptoms of high blood pressure.
The Texas Board of Nursing has full jurisdiction over all cases regarding errors committed by an RN or LVN.
