Accusations are stressful issues for an RN or LVN, except when a nurse attorney assists you against the case. The Texas Board of Nursing is responsible for all hearings against RNs and LVNs undergoing a case that may revoke suspend or only discipline their license. Take note that nurse attorneys can also defend a nurse’s license against accusations.
A Houston nurse was accused of creating fake Craigslist sex ads for husband’s alleged mistress.
The 47-year-old RN from Houston is charged with felony online impersonation, accused of creating the Craigslist ad on July 14, 2018. She is also barred from using drugs or alcohol or accessing the internet without court-ordered internet monitoring software. The monitoring software allows court personnel to see what she is doing online.
According to the victim, he allegedly received “about 100 inquiries to her personal cell phone about a Craigslist ad requesting sex from married men that she did not post,”.
The RN also allegedly wrote about the affair her husband, who is the victim’s divorce attorney, was having on “cheater sites.
Houston police investigators were able to track the RN down using an IP address registered to the hospital, where she worked for several years. She has worked for the hospital as a quality nurse since September 2013. She is now on paid administrative leave.
In an earlier incident, the RN was charged with misdemeanor harassment after sending a series of text messages and photos to a woman with whom she believed her husband was having an affair.
The Texas Board of Nursing then subjected the RN and her license into disciplinary action. The accusation would have been defended by an experienced and skilled nurse attorney, had the RN hired one. Hiring a criminal nurse attorney for defense is applicable for any kind of accusation laid against an RN or LVN.
